The topic this year will be: “Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Decisions”. This year the seminar will focus on the recognition and enforcement of foreign orders and decisions in different foreign jurisdictions, with focus on several sub-topics including arbitration awards and court judgments, resolutions, interim orders and measures, security, mortgages, and insolvency proceedings. These issues are certainly of interest to the international maritime community and have an impact on the day-to-day practice of shipping lawyers, claims handlers, underwriters, adjusters, carriers, and others involved in the shipping business.
